CARE launches bespoke election website

CARE is pleased to announce the launch of our bespoke General Election website, following confirmation of a July election this week.

The site – engaGE24 – is packed with resources for Christians seeking to engage with the election in the coming weeks, including:

  • A quiz to help Christians see what party they may align with.
  • Video interviews with Christian parliamentarians.
  • Theological resources on voting, and election issues.
  • A 40-day prayer diary and prayer videos for churches.
  • Advice on how to arrange and chair hustings events.

CARE’s CEO Ross Hendry commented:

Ross Hendry

“As a social policy charity operating at the heart of Westminster that has helped Christians to engage with politics for more than 40 years, CARE is uniquely placed to serve the UK church during this General Election. I’m delighted to announce the launch of our new website, engaGe24, which our dedicated team has been busy developing over the last few months.

“The site is designed to help Christians from all denominations and backgrounds think, act, and pray before they get out and vote. It’s packed with quality content including practical tools, theological and prayer resources, a podcast and blog page, video interviews with MPs and so much more – all free of charge. I’d commend it to every Christian considering how they are going to vote.”

Mr Hendry added:

“There is a lot of apathy towards our politics and as Christians we are not immune to this, but we passionately believe politics, at its best, is a force for good. As Jesus’s followers, we must continue to engage even if we feel discouraged. In doing so, we seek the good of our neighbours and bring the Bible’s better story to bear on the culture around us. This election is a golden opportunity for the church to be salt and light. And we engage knowing that whatever the outcome is, God is on the throne.

“Our vision is to see politics renewed and lives transformed. We’ll hope you’ll join us in this vision in the coming election, and beyond.”
