CARE for Scotland Parliamentary Officer Dr Gordon Macdonald has penned a piece for the Scotsman newspaper. In it, he outlines CARE’s objections to the Scottish Government’s Named Person scheme. He argues the mandatory scheme diminishes the role of parents and will end up meaning genuinely vulnerable children could miss out on the additional support they need.
