Alongside the publication of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill, the Government has issued a ‘Mythbusters’ document that claims to set out the reality of what the Bill will do in an attempt to refute the concerns raised by those who support the current legal definition of marriage.

However, the ‘Mythbusters’ document falls short on a number of points and so in response CARE’s Public Affairs team has written a counter-response entitled ‘The REAL Mythbusters’, demonstrating the flaws in the arguments put forward by the Government.
