The Chief Executive of CARE, Nola Leach has added her name to a letter published in the Guardian today. The letter is jointly signed by CARE, Barnardos, ECPAT UK, Hope for Justice and other charities who believe child trafficking advocates are a vital part of the drive to tackle modern day slavery. In the letter, the charities jointly call on the government to introduce child trafficking advocates as a matter of urgent priority. In December last year, despite a positive report into child trafficking advocates following trials, the government is delaying implementing the scheme.

You can read the letter here.
