Human Trafficking
15 October 2015

This Sunday all across the UK communities and churches will be marking Anti-Slavery Day. Instituted by law in 2010 Anti-Slavery Day falls each year on 18 October and is an opportunity to raise awareness of the many people exploited through human trafficking and modern day slavery in the UK and around the world.

There are lots of events happening across the country not only on 18 October but through this month. You can find out about some of them on the Anti-Slavery Day website.

There is still time to do something yourself to mark the occasion. You could write a letter to your local paper, hold a film night with friends or pray for freedom during your Sunday church services. You will find lots of resources and ideas that we’ve put together to help you here.

Whatever you do, take some time on Sunday to remember the estimated 35.8 million people in modern day slavery around the world.
