Mark Baillie speaks out about what needs to be done to tackle problem gambling in Northern Ireland

This week the Northern Ireland Gambling Prevalence Survey came out which identified that Northern Ireland had more than four times as many problem gamblers as England.

CARE is particularly concerned about the growth and addictive nature of online gambling and would like the UK adopt a one-stop exclusion tool for problem gamblers, meaning those who struggle with addiction would not have to contact each individual website; this would be a much needed reform that would go a long way in helping those who struggle with gambling.
