Dan Boucher quoted on Premier on dangers of gambling adverts targeting young people

Gambling
7 October 2016
Premier reference 5 2f

Dr Dan Boucher welcomes the government's decision to expand its review into FOBTs to include gambling advertising as the way that gambling is currently being advertised is effecting our rising generation and normalising betting.

"It is deeply concerning that the increased exposure to gambling has coincided with increasing rates of problem gambling - a trebling amongst 18 to 24 year olds.

Statistics like these show that there must be an overhaul to the way gambling is currently advertised as it is effecting our rising generation."
