Nola Leach began with CARE in 1997 as Head of Caring Services before her appointment as Chief Executive in 2004. She is also Head of the Leadership Programme and CARE’s Public Policy team. Nola serves many other ministries and organisations such as the Christian CEO’s Conference, Girls’ Brigade, the European Leaders Forum and the Christian Embassy here in London.
James Mildred is CARE’s Chief Communications Officer and has been in the role since April 2021. Prior to this, he was CARE's Head of Communications and previously worked as the Press Officer at CARE, before doing some church training at Grace Church, Yate. James leads the Communications Team at CARE, overseeing press and media engagement, social media, websites, campaigns and often represents CARE in the media.
Daniel Boucher has been CARE’s Director of Public Affairs since 2006 as part of the Public Policy team analysing issues, planning and developing short and long-term campaign strategies and building key relationships. He maintains a constant presence in Westminster and works with CARE’s Policy Officers and politicians in Belfast and Edinburgh.
Roxana Stanciu is CARE’s Chief Operating Officer since October 2018. She is highly involved in management and strategy and also serves as a co-leader of the Politics and Society Network that is part of the European Leadership Forum. Prior to joining CARE, Roxana was the Executive Director of European Dignity Watch, a Brussels-based organisation focused on educating stakeholders in Europe to make a difference in the public square.
Celia Bowring is CARE’s Executive Editor. She is responsible for CARE’s highly popular Prayer Diary and also writes a lot of articles for CARE. She is very involved in different publications and also speaks on CARE’s issues. As CARE’s prayer co-ordinator, Celia has a vital role in creating superb prayer resources.
Rev Lyndon Bowring serves as CARE's Chairman. He helped co-found CARE in 1983. He is an ordained Elim minister and has been involved in many Christian initiatives over the years, on Boards and Advisory Councils, networking with other leaders and speaking at events such as Spring Harvest and Keswick (often with his wife Celia, who writes the Prayer Diary).
John O’Brien has served as Chairman of CARE’s Trustees since 1996. He is the chief executive of Astons Transport Ltd. John has also chaired the trustees of Care for the Family for more than 10 years, led the trustee boards of St Martin-in-the-fields Ltd and Westminster Abbey Foundation and became chairman at Action for Children in 2012.
