The UK Government has been questioned over the current policy allowing women to take both abortion pills at home during the coronavirus lockdown.

In a Written Question, Fiona Bruce MP asked the Secretary of State:

‘To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to ensure that abortion pills to be taken at home are taken by the intended recipient.’

In response, the Government has indicated it’s currently preparing a response.

The Court of Appeal has granted a judicial review into the 'DIY' abortion policy

Remote abortions (otherwise known as DIY abortion) is when women are assessed for abortion via a remote consultation. The drugs used are then posted to the mother who self-administers at home.

It’s supposed to be a temporary measure during the coronavirus lockdown, but the abortion lobby have made no secret that they desire it to become part of the new normal.

There are numerous concerns raised about the dangers to women of taking both abortion pills at home, but the UK Govt has ignored them.

In her Written Question, Ms Bruce has identified just one key concern, namely that there is no way of knowing if the pills are being taken by the intended recipient.

In related news, the Court of Appeal has granted a judicial review of the UK Government’s decision to allow DIY abortions during the lockdown.
